I have not used one. They normally don't go with my outfit :)

I HAVE used one.. and I am not embrassed to admit it. My son has Autism. He often wanders off. He is 3.. We used ours in the airport and on vacation. My son HATES the stroller.. and will not use it and I have a 5 year old and a one year old also. My…

I think that if you can't control your child enough in public that you need to put a leash on them.... you shouldn't take them in public. Use a stroller if you're worried about your kiddos running off. Airlines let you check them. I just think that…

You know the one. It seems to appear at every cookout or get together, and everyone wants to eat way more of it than they actually do. I've found 2 recipes that are both great, but one I do prefer to the other. Creamy Layered BLT Dip Ingredients:…

Thank you! I really appreciate your feedback. I can imagine the looks, but those people glaring are NOT the ones responsible for my kids & their safety. And if the child is happier, why not? I certainly wouldn't plan to use it all the time, but situ…

I used to think they were nothing more than a kid leash. I guess in a sense they are, but is there a limit to what we can for safety? I feel almost embarrassed to use one, so I'd love some opinions. Even more so feedback if you've used one. I know…

Skip the Meat! You Won't Miss It with These Recipes

Meatless Meals: good for the budget, often the waistline, the environment (some would say), and so many are just tasty.
I started incorporating 2-3 meatless meals a week when I began menu planning.
At first it was to help with the budget, but soon we found several recipes that are plain good, and happen to be meatless.

First I'll share some recipes, then I'll highlight some sites worth visiting to help you make your "meatless meal" stockpile.

Meal Stretchers

Last week I asked you all what you wanted to see for the Tuesday Foodie posts.
In response to that, today's post is all about those cheaper meals, meals for a tight budget, and stretching them out. "Meal Stretchers", as KnitPurlGurl called them. ;)

It's not always difficult to find inexpensive meals to prepare. But in my opinion, there are always 2 issues that stand out: cheaper meals often mean sacrificing the nutrition, as well as cheaper meals often mean no meat.

What do you do?

Hopefully… Continue

Let's Talk About FOOD & What YOU Want

I've had several ideas swarming in my head for today's post.
Crockpot meals (I love my crockpot!), simple food finds, cooking resources...all applicable ideas, but none of them felt just right for today.

Who better to ask than you, the wonderful reader?

I would love to hear what you are interested in finding here, food-wise.
Are you interested in more meatless recipes?
Grilling recipes?
Desserts? :)

Any specific type of ethnic food? (You know I love Mexican!)

Bring it to the ta… Continue

Grill, Baby, Grill!

With Memorial Day being the unofficial start to summer and grilling season, I find today being the perfect day to chat about the delicious smell of the grill.

Breathe it in....
Charcoal is being lit, the warm breeze swipes it enough to get the fire going.
The flames are the perfect orange-red shade that shouts out, "Yes! Bring on the food!".

So you do.

What do you bring to your grill?Continue

Thank you. I think I picked a bad time to sign up here. I have not had any time to participate. Will make up for that later this summer though.
