Hello everyone, my name is Kari. My little boy , Kai, is three and has Autism. He is almost non-vocal with about 20 words give or take. He has a lot of high sensory needs and a lot of behavior issues that we deal with on a daily basis.
Kai attends Early Childhood four days a week half day and has made some improvements.

My son also deals with a rare pancerus disorder that deals with his diegestion and he is on a special diet that limits a lot of milk, fruit and other foods. And because of that he has a low weight and a lot of potty issues.

My son is on the spectrum but his Asperger's is mild- he is in therapy- he actually attends a special therapeutic boarding school- transitions are also difficult for him (always have been). He just turned 16 in March.

I forgot to mention that he's also ADHD...

It's hard to say. The OCD component is definitely one of the most prominent features of his disabilities. He also has repetitive speech patterns and routines CANNOT change without bigtime meltdowns.

My son is 13 (will be 14 in July). Is your kiddo on the spectrum? Does he go to behavioral therapy?

Nice to have you here, KnitPurlGurl...do you find the OCD issues outweigh the others? That has been the case with my son. How old is your guy?

Hi everyone! My son has processing disorder, dyslexia, dysgraphia, bilateral hearing impairment, Mod. - Servere Asperger's Syndrome, anxiety, depression, an OCD. Nice to meet you all. :)

Hello all! My bonus son, Jason, has Tourette Syndrome, Bipolar Disorder, Post Traumatic stress Disorder, ADHD and a myriad of other emotional and neurological issues. I adopted him when he was six. Through it all though he is a sweet, creative kid!

Hi ...not too many members here. I have two special needs children...one very medically and one with autism.
