The Classy Closet

I have to shamefully say I have failed a few times, and just cant seem to be happy with the way I start things. I come up with some great Ideas, but somehow fail. I know what I want to blog about, and I try, but sometimes when I am surfing through the other mom's blogs I get a little discouraged and start looking for a new blog layout... some how I think this might be part of my problem? I like to make EVERYTHING pretty.
Are there any good websites? Or do I need to spend the money to pay some one to make mine up?

Sara Bonds at subjectivebeauty.com does fabulous blog designs and her prices are some of the most reasonable I've seen.
I know she has quite a waitlist (I'm on it :) but she also frequently has some pre-made specials up and she also has free tutorials for do-it-your-selfers who like to add different elements to their pages.
I definitely recommend checking her out

I am a lot like you. I started with one template and I loved it, but I looked around at so many other blogs, that I started to think that mine was really boring. So I changed it over and over again until I figured out I was going to have to create my own.

thecutestblogontheblock.com has great templates for free. I used one of those for the background template, then I went to photobucket to create my own header. Jen is so right about using "Keeping it Real" to get information faster then finding it on our own.

It took me a month to figure out how to get the codes for a background, but I did it. On Photobucket.com (which is free, too) they have a place where you can scrapbook your own pages. I went there an found some stickers/backgrounds that were perfect and free. Created my own page and then saved it to my own computer.

Once you decide what size you want it than you can save it to those dimensions on your own computer.

I went to my Blogger account, under customize. Added a gadget right under my header strip. You then upload your picture, but put your blog URL in the place where it says link.

If that is too confusing, email me and I can set it up step by step. But this way you create a header that is more you. It does take time, but it saves money. If you have the money, it would be worth letting someone else do it for you.

Good luck!

I create blog templates...as you can see I designed this header on this site along with many others! I am quite inexpensive...only $50 for a three column, customized header and button, with your choice of color scheme!

Let me know!
